Our full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday - no nights, no weekends, no holidays Care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and be an integral OR team member from surgical fusion to total joint.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Scrubs surgical cases in own specialty independently and in other areas with minimal direction.
    • Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and functioning and seeks appropriate resource when necessary.
    • Assists in the circulating role under the direct supervision of R.N.
    • Prepares for surgical cases in an efficient manner, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and other O.R. team members.
    • Provides a safe environment for patient and staff by adhering to standards of aseptic technique and department/hospital policy.
    • Communicates effectively with patient, staff and physicians.
    • Participates in the performance improvement process and assists with regulatory compliance throughout organization.
    • Demonstrates competence in specified computer applications.
    Requirements:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Has current RN license with OR Scrub experience or has current Surgical Technician certification.
    • Experience in Orthopedics preferred but not required.
    • Maintains BLS qualification.
    • Maintains ACLS qualification, or obtains within 6 months of hire.
    • Ability to maintain a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients and visitors, and perform job functions satisfactorily despite the stress of a hospital work environment.
    • Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
    • Ability to perform in situations requiring set limits, standards and strict adherence to established procedures and guidelines.
    • Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical or unusual situations.
