    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage aII pre-award functions for the Divisions of Cardiology, Allergy and Pulmonary.
  • Responsible for the organization and submission of all grant applications. In consultation with the Pl, will develop budgets, budget justifications, and prepare proposal packages for submission.
  • Monitor subcontracts from inception to final payment.
  • Administor NIH Traintg Grant (T32); prepare and submit appointment and termination paperwork on XTrain. Monitor and reconcile trainee expenditures for eligibility and allocability.
  • Serve as a liaison between NIH T32 grants specialist, Pl, Graduate Office, and Finance Office to meet T32 requirements.
  • Advise Principal Investigators on federal, agency, and foundation guidelines and policy changes pertainingi to grant applications. Advise faculty of funding opportunities.
  • Meet with PI's to review their grants portfolio and discuss upcoming grant submissions.
  • Keep track of grant deadlines and progress report due dates.
  • Maintain an electronic database of submitted and funded grants for all Divisions.
  • Prepare monthly summary report of grant submissions and outcomes to Administrator.
  • Maintain a database of all active CCI human research protocols and all Animal Institute protocols.
  • Update and maintain faculty biosketches and other support information. Assist faculty with overall formattingi of proposal for submission to agency.
  • Provide budgetary and grant related information to Research Finance and other departments as needed.
  • Supervise support staff in absence of administrator.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • A BA/BS in business administration or other related field is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years prior related experience in the pre- and/or post award function, specifically with NIH.
  • Experience in grant and contract financial management in a research environment is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum Salary Range

    USD $72,000.00/Yr.

    Maximum Salary Range

    USD $84,000.00/Yr.
