    Job Summary:

    Trileaf is seeking a qualified Archaeology Project Manager to lead a team of archaeologists, architectural historians, and archaeological technicians in the western US. This individual should have applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), specifically related to telecommunications projects and experience leading a team of Cultural Resource Specialists. This position will be at our Office in Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Reports and coordinates with the Group Manager of Cultural Resources;
    • Interfaces with internal management and tribal nations;
    • Performs tracking functions to track projects; May assist in researching new policies, procedures, etc to ensure continuous compliance;
    • Ensuring effective allocation of resources and timely completion of project deliverables.
    • Completing report reviews and QA/QC
    • Managing project teams and schedules
    • Develop and implement archaeological research plans, methodologies, and protocols.
    • Preparation of proposals and oversight of complex projects such as balloon tests, NR nominations, and archaeological monitoring
    • Performance reviews, and salary/promotion recommendations
    • Responsible for continued professional development of team members
    • Occasional fieldwork as required
    • Other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications:

    To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:

    • Meet or exceed the Secretary of the Interior Standards (36 CFR 61) in archaeology
    • MA or MS degree in archaeology/anthropology, be Register of Professional Archaeologist certified
    • Expert familiarity with regulations of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
    • Stay up updated with the latest advancements, regulations, and best practices in archaeology and cultural resources management.
    • Must be knowledgeable of local, state, and federal cultural resources regulations.
    • 1+ years management experience
    • Possess a minimum of five years of field experience with two years as a PI managing all aspects of project completion
    • Self motivated, quick learning, and flexible with a common-sense approach to conducting business and workload management
    • Ability and willingness to travel (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time)
    • Thorough working knowledge of Office 365 software programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented and recognized organizational abilities
    • Be an independent worker dedicated to excellence
    • Valid drivers license

    Education:

    • Masters degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or architectural history
