    Position Overview:


    The Dayton School of Business at Asbury University seeks applicants to serve as an adjunct instructor for accounting courses that will be taught in-person on campus in Wilmore, KY or online.

    Courses include managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, income tax, and accounting for MBA students.

    Ideal candidates will have at least a graduate degree in business or accounting, three or more years of experience in an accounting position and hold a CPA license.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Demonstrated knowledge in the assigned teaching discipline.
    • Provide high quality teaching to students.
    • Teach courses as contracted each session and proactively prepare for scheduled courses.
    • Conduct classes in accordance with established course outlines and approved instructional materials.
    • Be accessible to assist students with questions and in completion of assignments as delineated in the course syllabus, included ACA accommodations.
    • Meet with faculty mentor frequently throughout the semester.

    Qualifications:

    • Education:
    • PhD or DBA in accounting; ABD will be considered if actively working on dissertation, or
    • PhD or DBA in a business discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in accounting or,
    • Master's degree in accounting or MBA with a current CPA or CMA license
    • Professional and Teaching Experience:
    • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
    • Some teaching experience preferred.
