    HR Manager

    Description of Duties

    The Human Resources Manager will:

    • Perform job duties in compliance with site safety rules, with the intent of supporting an injury-free work environment. Assist the plant manager and safety manager with the implementation of the site safety systems. Notify the plant manager and/or safety manager of any safety systems malfunctions or violations.
    • Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the site quality management system through personal accountability, systems integration, and risk-based thinking.
    • Manage all aspects of the following areas: HR budget, recruiting and retention, compensation and benefits, training and development, safety management, employment policies and procedures, and employee relations
    • Direct the work of an HR Administrative staff, including scheduling, performance management, and delegation of duties
    • Stay current with local, state, and federal law, ensuring company compliance with all applicable statutes and minimizing exposure to punitive legal action
    • Prepare all statutory reporting for OSHA, EEOC, OFCCP, ESC, and any other government agency for which reporting is required; maintain accurate records to support reports
    • Develop and implement recruiting and retention strategies, including analysis of total rewards and market forces
    • Oversee the performance management process, including disciplinary actions, performance rewards, and yearly performance evaluations
    • Update Plant Manager and Global Director of Human Resources on key HR metrics using dashboard reporting, working closely with these and other corporate managers on a regular basis
    • Provide orientation and training for new hires, and facilitate the implementation and tracking of all training required for each position; manage all safety and statutory training requirements
    • Act as administrator for company payroll, 401k, and other benefits programs, including working with surveys and with benefits brokers/providers to determine best product mix for employee population, soliciting bids for products, and employee education on all benefits
    • Foster a positive company culture by facilitating employee good-will activities, including events, contests, recognition, and fundraising drives for company sponsored charities
    • Provide support to management and all employees in any areas relating to Human Resources

    The Human Resources Manager will have:

    • A four-year degree in Human Resources, Business, or relevant field, with professional certification strongly preferred, and an MBA a plus, or a combination of education and work experience.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Manager in a manufacturing environment, with experience in a continuous process facility a plus
    • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based applications
    • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated people skills
