    Job Description

    Job Summary: The Product Specialist is responsible to lead our sales process and support customers in their assigned product offerings. This would include being a subject matter expert in the benefits of these products. This role will be responsible to lead end to end projects across all phases of the sales cycle including but not limited to discovery, requirements gathering, design, quotation, implementation, testing, training, and operations. This individual takes overall ownership of the solution delivery, managing operations services, client stakeholder management, contribute to business development and selling activities, supporting the sales team in project planning and team management.

    Dties/Responsibilities:

    • Assist to manage implementation process to meet customer expectations.
    • Work with the sales team to assist in product training, sales calls, and project quoting.
    • Achieve gross margins and profitability targets for new equipment sales.
    • Grow sales revenue through existing customer base and new account development.
    • Collaborates with management in the development of goals/objectives. Influences and assists other areas of the business to align with and achieve corporate objectives.
    • Represents the Company in negotiations with suppliers, service providers and/or customers where outcomes have a significant impact on the company's profitability and success.
    • Utilizes comprehensive/in-depth understanding of customer requirements and focuses on high leverage opportunities to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensures all members of division(s)/functional areas of responsibility are committed to proactively meeting or exceeding customer needs. Demands excellent relationships with external and internal customers by setting an example for subordinates.
    • Provide accurate and timely information used for managing the business, including leads, proposals, marketing data, competitive data, sales forecasts, sales performance, and expense management.
    • Under the direction of the Director of Systems & Automation, Product Specialist is expected to take actions and make decisions to execute business plans to ensure organizational success.
    • Ensures commitment to the most cost effective, accurate and timely implementation of projects and activities. Accountable for meeting or exceeding performance metrics for division/site/functional area.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience: · Bachelor's Degree or significant appropriate experience. · 3 or more years of sales & managerial experience in B2B · Material Handling & Conveyor experience is extremely helpful. Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be willing to travel.
    • Must be able to continuously talk, hear and speak with good articulation and voice control.
    • Must be able to use fingers and hands to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms to lift, file and handle inventory.
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under significant stress and meet high performance demands.
    • Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours.
    • Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at times.
    • Must be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl continuously.
    • Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to drive 4 hours.
    • Some overnight travel may be required.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

    Works in a variety of customer environments including manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, and outdoors with exposure to elements. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards and dangerous chemical/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. This position also entails the necessity to work after normal working hours or on weekends based on customer need. Works under normal office conditions where required to sit for extended periods of time. Regularly spend significant amounts of time working in front of a computer terminal or in interactions with various people. Some travel may be required. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
