Position Overview
An established allergy practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support daily clinical operations and patient care. This role involves working with patients of all ages in a fast‑paced outpatient environment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, comfortable with clinical workflows, and able to work independently while supporting providers and patients.
Responsibilities
Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures
Record and update patient information accurately in the medical record
Perform basic laboratory procedures and handle specimens appropriately
Educate patients on treatment plans, testing, and follow‑up instructions
Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage clinical supplies
Support patient flow and ensure a positive patient experience
Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain strict patient confidentiality
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a Medical Assistant program
Experience working directly with patients in a clinical setting
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
Familiarity with electronic health records (preferred)
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
CMA or RMA certification
Bachelor's degree in Biology or EMT certification
Five years of continuous Medical Assistant experience (accepted in place of formal certification)
