Job Description Position OverviewBoart Longyear is seeking a Cash Accountant to join our Cash Accounting team.This team is part of our global Finance Shared Service Center located in our Corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This role has the responsibility for tracking and managing cash balances, posting daily cash receipts, and preparing bank reconciliations for our global portfolio of bank accounts.
This role is partnered with the Treasury, Credit and Accounts Payable functions to ensure adequate control and management of cash.
As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to interact with various departments and regional offices all over the world in a collaborative work environment.
Hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote). Essential Job Functions And Duties
Accountable for the accuracy of a portfolio of bank accounts and related general ledger accountsContinually develop and maintain relationships with assigned regional accounting teams, treasury, credit, and accounts payable functions; this is vital for communication channels to ensure timely accounting transactionsEnsure daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accountsProvide analysis of accounts to support monthly reporting, including variance analysisIdentify and implement process and control efficienciesProvide support for internal and external auditsCoordinate and assist in quarterly and annual reporting requirementsCommunicate effectively and consistency to ensure work responsibilities are delivered accurately and on timeCompletes cross-training on Accounts Receivable processes and tasks in order to provide support, as needed, to the AR Team.
BACHELOR'
S DEGREE REQUIRED:
Accounting, Finance, or closely related business fieldOne to three years of relative experience in an accounting role, preferably in a multi-regional organizationDemonstrated ability to communicate well, both written and verbally, and to work with others across the organization to accomplish the objectives of the role and teamStrong attention to detail ensuring controls are operating effectively and all accounts are reconciled on-time each monthExperience working under monthly accounting close timetable and ability to prioritize to meet deadlinesOwnership mentality and drive to learnDrive to constantly improve process efficiency and control effectivenessOracle R12 experience, a plusIntermediate to advanced knowledge of ME Office Suite; including use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and some advanced functions where necessaryFluency with the Spanish language a plus, but not requiredFlexibility with nonstandard working hours for month-end/year-end closeWorking within a Shared Service environment provides opportunities to interact with and work across multiple accounting functions and with other teams around the world.
