    O'Brien Electric is one of the only remaining brick and mortar shops that repairs a broad range of electronics down to component level, from the tube era to SMD.

    We specialize in audio and analog equipment, but work on most things using a circuit board. You must have good troubleshooting skills and the ability to work unsupervised most of the time.

    A typical job workflow involves initial contact with the customer, intake of the unit for diagnosis, and generating an estimate.

    If it is approved, then ordering parts and performing the repair. After final burn-in, invoice customer and call for pick up. You must be VERY experienced in electronics repair, be detail oriented, and have good customer service skills. A practical electronics test will be administered to all candidates along with some theory questions. We also offer pre-owned refurbished gear that you can be commissioned on if the customer's unit is unrepairable.
