    Job Summary:

    The Psychiatric Social Worker is part of a team that offers evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and education to members and their families. Must have a deep understanding of psychopathology and the necessary clinical interventions. The role may involve working with specific age groups based on training and certification. Familiarity and expertise in various treatment methods are essential, with a focus on direct patient care.

    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Competencies:
    • Effective and timely assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
    • Selecting the appropriate treatment for members' issues.
    • Clear communication of clinical information to members and staff.
    • Maintaining high levels of customer and patient satisfaction.
    • Expertise in different treatment approaches.
    • Thorough and timely documentation of clinical encounters.
    • Knowledge of KP and community resources.
    • Adhering to all patient care guidelines and licensing requirements.
    • Conducting initial interviews, interpreting concerns, and determining the urgency of needs.
    • Providing therapy to individuals of different age groups.
    • Offering immediate support to members in crisis.
    • Keeping detailed therapy records, preparing reports, and contacting relevant parties for information.
    • Providing consultation on family dynamics, sociocultural factors, and community support.
    • Offering phone assessments, counseling, and referrals.
    • Proficiency in addressing various developmental stages.
    • Skilled in individual, group, family, and child therapy.
    • Compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.
    • Participation in quality management activities.
    Basic Qualifications:
    Experience
    • Two (2) years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience in the last five (5) years.
    Education
    • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related behavioral health field.
    License, Certification, Registration
    • Licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy (California) OR Professional Clinical Counseling (California) OR Clinical Social Work (California)

    • National Provider Identifier
    Additional Requirements:
    • Proficiency in current DSM terminology.
    • Demonstrating superior service skills and cultural sensitivity.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • N/A

    Notes:
    • Working 4/10 or 5/8 days per week from Monday to Saturday.
    • Possibility of working remotely on some days after the probationary period.
    • May be assigned to emergency room shifts outside normal hours and work late nights 2-3 times a week.
