    :

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position will be responsible for quotations and negotiations of responsible products, creating purchase orders, tracking responsible products, alerting fellow team members and management when orders have been fulfilled as promised, and dispositioning all open issues until the vendor invoices have been paid.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Reviews and submits purchase orders; ensure existing orders are delivered on time by monitoring all open orders and contacting vendors as needed.

    · Effectively manage supplier performance to meet cost and quality objectives.

    · Reviews customer specifications for parts/assemblies and works with the supplier(s) to generate quotes back to aftermarket sales.

    · Sources and carries out new vendor qualification activities.

    · Creates, receives and maintains distributor profiles in a database.

    · Negotiates with vendors to secure the best pricing, payment, and shipping terms.

    · Gathers consumer insights and existing sales data of branded products to make suggestions for a category.

    · Maintains products master files to specified standards and product drawings.

    · Maintains a database for specific product questions and answers requested by customer service; acts as a liaison between customer service and our vendors as it pertains to the make-up, origin, or quality of our products.

    · Cooperates with accounting and distribution teams to ensure damages and miss-ships are logged and credits are requested.

    Requirements:

    Required Education:

    · High School Diploma or GED minimum. Bachelor's degree (Preferred)

    · Supply chain certification SCM, a plus.

    Work-Related Experience:

    · 1 – 2 years experience in purchasing/buying in a manufacturing environment
