Global Technical Systems (GTS) provides innovative, cost-effective, high-tech engineering products and product-based services encompassing latest generation software and hardware solutions and engineering services for defense, homeland security, and other critical Government interests. GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair.   Our Headquarters office in Virginia Beach, VA is searching for a Janitorial Specialist to work in-person.
 
Janitorial Specialist

General Description:

Maintain clean, orderly, and safe office environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all basic cleaning of our office building – Monday through Friday.
• Cleans floors and rooms. including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
• Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
• Vacuums, empties trash, and replaces liners.
• Keep appliances clean and sanitary (e.g., microwaves, refrigerator, toaster oven)
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
• Routinely performs heavier cleaning such as thorough cleaning of inside of windows, blinds, and tile.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
• Complete task list assigned separately
• Must have own transportation

Work Experience Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, including chemicals and supplies, and methods used in office cleaning

Educational Requirements (or equivalent):
High School Diploma

Working Conditions:
Physical dexterity: The job of an office cleaner is manually inclined, so it is important to be energetic and can lift up to 25 to 30 pounds without assistance. Must be able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, and stand for a long duration with ease.
