    Northrop Grumman Space Systems is in search of a Senior Principal Industrial Engineer. This role is based in Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel initiative.

    What You'll Get To Do:

    • Demonstrate proficiency in fundamental Industrial Engineering principles.
    • Excel in understanding capacity principles such as efficiencies, standards, and constraints.
    • Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and their interaction with shop floor operations and the Global Supply Chain.
    • Manage project and manufacturing schedules effectively.
    • Comprehend schedule development with setbacks to independent demands.
    • Develop labor standards and conduct work measurement activities.
    • Handle factory and facility layout responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to visualize layout routings.
    • Implement effective cost management strategies including Earned Value and Milestone payments.
    • Engage and collaborate with programs and functional units, from individual contributors to executive management, to grasp and interpret manufacturing coordination and scheduling needs.
    • Identify, document, and resolve issues promptly to ensure operational continuity.
    • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

    This position follows a standard 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees who work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to enjoy alternate Fridays off. Competitive relocation assistance may be provided for this role.

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Science with a minimum of 9 years' experience; or Master's degree with at least 7 years' experience; or PhD with 4 years' experience
    • 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, scheduling, and capacity analysis
    • Proficiency in Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to acquire and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP) as a condition of employment
    • U.S. Citizenship is required, with the capability to obtain and retain a Secret level clearance for employment continuation

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

    • Active DoD Secret security clearance
    • Experience in the ICBM/Aerospace Systems Industry
    • Familiarity with SAP MRP, AutoCad, and discrete simulation tools and concepts
    • Capacity to manage multiple priorities independently
    • Strong presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, public speaking in front of senior management, and delivering technical presentations
    • Ability to visualize and design routings efficiently using tools like Flowchart and Excel
    • Background in Systems Test and integration is advantageous
    • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills, with an aptitude for teamwork across various technical disciplines

    Salary Range: $104,400 - $156,600

    The provided salary range is indicative, as Northrop Grumman considers multiple factors when determining base salaries, encompassing aspects like job scope, responsibilities, candidate qualifications, and prevailing market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to their base pay. Annual bonuses are structured to recognize individual contributions and align employees with company performance. Executives at the Vice President or Director levels may qualify for Long-Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman also offers an array of benefits, including health coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company holidays, and paid time off for vacation and personal matters.
