    Astria Health is seeking a Endoscopy Technician to join our team

    The purpose of this position is to assist the physicians and nurses that perform endoscopy procedures, prepare and maintain the instruments and equipment used in the procedures according to the standards of the facility You will:
    • Prepare the procedure room by ensuring all areas are clean/disinfected and anticipated endo-therapy instruments/supplies are stocked and readily available.
    • Review the patient's chart in the electronic medical record to determine the type of endoscope to be used for each procedure.
    • Assist the physician during the procedure by positioning the patient, utilizing instruments to collect specimens and/or provide therapeutic results.
    • Operate specialized washers to clean and reprocess endoscopes in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
    • Ensure maintenance of endoscopes with proper storage, quality assurance checks, and coordinate repair services as needed.
    • Assist nursing with escorting patients pre and post procedure, turnover of admit/recovery bays, answering phones and other duties as assigned.
    • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, restock and order supplies as needed.
    • Adhere to department and hospital guidelines for proper donning of personal protective equipment during a procedure and when cleaning endoscopes.
    • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
    • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
    Requirements

    What you bring to this role:
    • High School graduation or equivalent
    • Current WA State Surgical Technologist Registration
    • Current BLS
    • Two or more years' experience working in a like position

    Pay and Benefit Expectations
