Ewing Outdoor Supply is looking for a dynamic individual with a great customer service skill set, with the added quality of being an experienced CDL Driver to assist the branch with inventory movement and branch deliveries.
Now, don't worry about being in the cab all day, as you will also assist in the branch with team and contractor interaction, as well as inventory control as we help grow your full customer service skill set.
Therefore if your preference is primarily in the cab with minimal customer interaction, although we appreciate and value that, this might not be the role for you.

The Ewing CDL Driver serves as the front line for customer relations, customer service, branch and vehicle maintenance, and daily branch deliveries.
Drivers are expected to support Branch Managers by performing the tasks and activities required for successful branch operations, maintaining vehicle safety, as well as providing customer support.
Additional requirements include the completion of tasks and activities assigned in support of annual plans established by the Branch, its Region, and its Division.
ResponsibilitiesTransport materials to and from retail or distribution centers
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Comply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Requirements
Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Valid CDL license
