    Up to $50,000 Sign-on Bonus

    As a Watercraft Engineer, you'll supervise or perform maintenance and repairs on Army watercraft and auxiliary equipment on marine vessels in order to keep them running at all times. You'll perform daily systems checks, repair and maintain gasoline and diesel engines, troubleshoot and repair watercraft propulsion machinery, and repair and service lift machinery and engine-related electrical systems. To do this, you'll train in basic electronics, hydraulics, and shop practices, as well as in engine operation and maintenance. You'll also train in marine operations, the preventive maintenance of steering systems, and you'll learn how to inspect and maintain the propellers and staffs.

    Certification and/or experience required: Have 2 years of experience or combination of formal training and experience totaling 2 years in operation and maintenance of such marine vessel items as generators, motors, electrical systems, ramp mechanisms, winches, pumps, and vessel piping systems or be certified by the U.S. Coast Guard with a Merchant Marine Document proving service in the Engineering Department.

    Addition Requirements:
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident with a valid green card.
    • Must have a H.S. Diploma or a G.E.D.
    • Must be able to pass adrug screening.
    • Must be interviewed within 7 days of being contacted.
