    Job Summary:

    Deliver orders to customers, pick-up stock at vendors, maintain equipment, and perform other related delivery functions.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    ● Truck Loading.

    ○ Driver loads staged orders in the most logical manner for efficient delivery.

    ● Product Delivery and Pick Up.

    ○ Deliver product to customers and/or branch locations per scheduled routes. (Routes may include over nights, and being out of the yard 3+ days per week)

    ○ Pick-up product at suppliers as required.

    ○ Carry all necessary hazardous load and other regulatory forms as required.

    ○ Properly handle all freezable and perishable products.

    ○ Maintain excellent customer service attitude and response.

    ● Maintain Accurate Records.

    ○ Attain and maintain licenses and permits and have them in your pos.

    ○ Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs and other required records.

    ○ Turn in all bills of lading, purchase orders, pick tickets, mileage reports, seal log, log books, etc. to designated office staff in a timely manner.

    ● Other duties or projects as assigned.

    Why Nelson-Jameson:

    Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000+ per year, No cap, Unlimited earning potential

    Required Education and Experience:

    ● Education: High school degree or equivalent.

    ● Experience: 1+ year of previous semi-driving experience.

    ● Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Drivers License) with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements.

    Equipment Use:

    ● Computer and mobile phone

    ● Semi-tractor and trailer

    ● Weight scale (truck weighing)

    ● Forklift

    ● Pallet jack

    ● Load locks- load securement

    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 56#, occasionally lift and/or move more than 75#, and infrequently push/pull greater than 115#. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving equipment, dust particles, ladders, hazardous chemicals, in some cases wet environments with caution needed for slight risk of electrical shock. A warehouse environment is typical in this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The working surface can be variable type surfaces wet or dry.

    Work Week:

    Route and days determined upon hire.

    Hours: Stay within legal limits per DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
