- Perform Database Administration for PostgreSQL and other database tools such as Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, and MongoDB
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Tuning and optimization using monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve failed tasks or database issues
- Proactive performance and resource monitoring
- Ensure backup, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Configure and monitor replication clusters
- Design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance-tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software
- Perform regular database patching and upgrades
- Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance required.; US Citizenship required
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on administration of PostgreSQL
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for PostgreSQL
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning/optimization
- Experience managing Aurora PostgreSQL in AWS
- Experience managing security within the AWS RDS environment
- Expert-level knowledge of backups, restores, recoveries
- Experience with Elasticsearch databases
- Experience with AWS DynamoDB databases

The DBA will collaborate with the engineering team to create a standardized delivery of data management solutions that are aligned with enterprise strategy and architecture. You will define database maintenance standards to ensure these standards are implemented and followed consistently. You will be responsible for forecasting system requirements and providing a course of action to meet the growing workload demands.
