    JOB – Controls Engineer (GCCS Experienced)

    LOCATIONS - Detroit, MI. Toledo, OH

    TERM - Contract

    RATE – $45 - $55 per hour.

    NUMBER OF OPENINGS - 5

    My client – a systems integrator of turnkey solutions across a number of Manufacturing sectors are on the lookout for 5 experienced Control System Engineers to join their team initially on a 6-12 month Contract basis.

    Those with experience of programming PLCs and SCADA systems using Allen-Bradley software within an Automotive Manufacturing environment will be of interest.

    Prior GCCS or experience within a GM environment is a necessity for these vacancies.

    The Controls Engineers will ideally have the following attributes:

    • GCCS experience.
    • A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical Engineering (BEng, BSc, HND, NVQ etc).
    • PLC programming experience using Allen-Bradley.
    • Strong Production Support experience, troubleshooting and fault finding for PLCs and Automated Machinery.
    • Demonstrable experience in working with Servos, VFDs or Motion Control Products.
    • Hands on experience in wiring and Electrical fitting of machinery.
    • Excellent communication skills.

    The Controls Engineer's duties will involve:

    • Writing software for PLCs and SCADA.
    • Electrical Panel Design and Integration for Machinery.
    • Programming of Servo and VF drives.
    • Delivering solutions integrating robotics.
    • Participating in Project Specifications to participate in a full life cycle design process.
    • Working between a number of departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient delivery of projects.
