- Understanding and ability to use measuring instruments (micrometres, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to perform calibration of measuring equipment.
- Communication skills to provide technical information to sales, manufacturing, and customers.
- Ability to read print and specifications and translate into internal specifications.
- Ability to review and disposition non-conforming product.
- Ability to generate quality reports. (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Perform failure analysis
- Provide training to quality & production personnel.
- Liaison with customers over quality issues & product information
- Liaison with the sales team regarding product information
- Complete CAR's for customers as needed
- Work hands on with floor personnel for product quality issues and inspections
- Understanding of Customer expectations and translate into shop floor language
- Working with the team to continually improve the processes
- Travel as required (up to 25%)
- Performing other tasks as directed by the Plant Manager and or QA Manager
- Post Secondary education in material testing / manufacturing engineering or related field or relevant work experience (5 yrs min)
- Excellent report and writing skills
- Strong computer knowledge

Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the quality procedures and inspections are being preformed as required.
The QA Supervisor will establish inspection plans, train hourly personnel in performing inspections and supervise hourly personnel related to the quality functions in the plant.
This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.Some of the functions required for this job include:
