- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal team
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers
- Utilize our proprietary software, Grapevine TMS, to manage shipments
- Coordinate drivers and equipment to cover loads efficiently
- Update customer and account managers with issues
- Demonstrate industry knowledge/ability and can apply the competency in new or complex situations
- Manage daily shipments to ensure customer needs are met 24/7
- Work quickly to identify and resolve problems that arise with a strong sense of urgency
- Meet and maintain set expectations of inbound and outbound call volume per day
- Manage daily shipments throughout entire cycle from dispatching to delivery
- Oversee weekend duties to ensure all expectations are met in timely manner
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Previous experience in sales or customer service background preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
- Punctuality
- Proficient computer skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills
- Detail-oriented and possess organizational skills
- Team-oriented
- Schedule is full time from Friday to Monday
