    Full-time    REPORTS TO: Yard ManagerCOMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience ranging from $16-$20 per hourEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time – 40 hours/week
    WORK SCHEDULE:During the following hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Saturday as needed 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
    JOB OVERVIEW:Scrap metal yard located in Ashville NY, seeks a General Laborer/Heavy Equipment Operator to handle day to day tasks. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Material purchase entries, including weighing truck in/out, verifying accounts/prices
    • Creating and maintaining all outbound documents
    • Clerical and administrative support including filing
    • Communicate with yard personnel using a 2-way radio
    • Assist with yard projects as assigned
    • Sorting various metals by grade and preparing outbound loads
    • Move material using various forms of heavy equipment
    • Provide excellent customer service

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Valid Drivers' License
    • Strong attention to detail as well as an efficient, hardworking, and dependable attitude.
    • Computer aptitude (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision, are flexible and a team player
    • Detail Oriented
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions
    • Ability to Operate Heavy Equipment/Forklift Helpful
