    The Acciona Power Marketing team is responsible for the commercial optimization of renewable assets on both a long term and day-to-day basis.

    Optimization includes entering into energy contracts, bidding assets into the market place, and maximizing value based on market conditions.
    The Quantitative Analyst I will be assisting the Senior Analyst in analyses related to the Power Marketing Group.
    ResponsibilitiesJob DescriptionAssist PM Quant Analsyst in modular development of Statistical Models, Hypothesis and Testing novel Concepts in different domains (e.g.

    power prices, system demand, wind production, basis, covariance, event probabilities, financial and natural timeseries)Running basic Analytics on different granularities (e.g.

    Hourly, Monthly) of Power Generation and PricesAssist with completing basic monthly and quarterly reporting involving revenue, price and generation performanceCollaborate with PM Quant Analyst on projects involving Risk modeling and assessment for different revenue streams (Merchant Power, PPA, Capacity and RECs)Collaborate on Projects with PM Quant Analyst involving Financial modeling and derivatives pricing (e.g.

    option valuation and embedded derivatives)Assist PM Quant Team on collaborating with projects involving inter/ intradepartmental Teams (e.g.

    Finance, Business Development, Asset Management)Assist PM Quant Analyst in assessing and extracting more value from existing Assets by Analyzing forward Power Markets, REC Positions and Working closely with Asset Analysts to analyze the impact of DA-RT Merchant positionsAssist PM Quant Team in building modular analysis to optimize Hedges, possible Trading positions& PPAs thru analyzing forward curves across different Power MarketsAssist with end-to-end (process mapping to work flow) implementation of new or improvement of existing software Systems involving PM/Commercial Operations (e.g.
