    Job Overview:

    You will work as a Maintenance Technician II. This role involves installing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, rebuilding, and dismantling complex manufacturing and support equipment with minimal supervision. Your goal is to maintain physical assets in the desired condition by management and in compliance with industry standards and government regulations.

    You will be responsible for training, advising, and sometimes directing other technicians.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, and dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment, focusing on advanced troubleshooting of control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on high-speed packaging lines.
    • Perform preventive maintenance and proactive activities to monitor and maintain equipment condition.
    • Coordinate with other technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, and stakeholders to communicate and plan maintenance activities.
    • Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance.
    • Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas.
    • Comply with regulatory, company, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards (especially safety).
    • Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate, time allows, or directed.
    • Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive recommendations to implementation or resolution.
    • Complete or assist with special projects as directed.
    • Perform other duties as requested by management.

    Total Rewards:
    • Pay starting at $37.00 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $38.85 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

    Requirements:
    • Completion of Industrial Maintenance degree or certificate preferred.
    • Formal manufacturing maintenance education and/or 5 years of related manufacturing maintenance experience.
    • Demonstrated advanced mechanical/electrical skills (PLC troubleshooting and Robotics skills preferred).
    • Ability to read and understand complex instructions, prints, flowchart, block diagram, and schematics.
    • Ability to competently use and understand precision testing and diagnostic equipment.
    • Experience using e-mail, job databases, spreadsheets, and CMMS, such as SAP.
    • Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) experience preferred.
    • Packaging experience is preferred.
    • High speed automation experience preferred.
    • Yellow/Green Belt training preferred

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

    • Ability to lift, push, pull, up to 50 pounds as needed.
    • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop.
    • Ability to repetitively lift, twist, stretch, and reach overhead.
    • Ability to stand during entire shift minimum of 12 hours.
    • Work in compliance with OSHA regulations.
