Talenz Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a nursing job in Lake City, Florida.

SIGN ON :
15k 2 year commitment;

Relocation:
case by case

Weekend Diff:
$2 /hr;

Nights Diff:
$3.25 /hr


Shifts:
Nights 7-7

Must have experience – 1 year ICU exp or have floated to ICU


Job Summary:

The ICU
RNmanages the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

The tasks and responsibilities include:
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/


OR PREFERRED:

• Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required

LICENSURE/


CERTIFICATION:

• Current State of Florida license for Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL
  RNlicense required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• CCRN preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

OR PREFERRED:

• Acute care experience required
• Critical Care Experience preferred
• Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
• Carries out physician orders.
• Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
• Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
• Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Instructs and educates patients and families.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
