- Develop and implement safety programs
- Issue and supervise hazardous work permits
- Conduct Pre-Task Planning, including JSAs, Safety Plans of Action (SPAs), Crane Lift Plans, etc.
- Perform site safety audits and inspections
- Provide oversight for high-risk work, including hot work, elevated work, hazardous energy control/LOTO, line break, core drilling, trenching/excavation, confined space entry, and crane lifts
- Mentor and coach contractor employees and managers in safe work practices.
- Pharmaceutical / Life Science construction experience is preferred
- Degree in EHS field and minimum CHST strongly desired, but not required
- Minimum OSHA 30 Construction (within last 5 years)
- 5+ years of construction health and safety experience
- Diverse construction project experience: anticipated project oversight include: lab renovations, utility upgrades, site work, building envelopes
- Subcontractor management experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills for customer-facing position
- Position is 75% field and 25% administrative responsibility
