    School-Based Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention (Morton, PA)

    About Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) 25

    Delaware County Intermediate Unit 25 (DCIU 25) is seeking a qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Morton, Pennsylvania. DCIU 25 is committed to empowering partnerships for education and provides a range of services to support student success.

    Job Summary

    This is a full-time position (up to 35 hours per week) within our Early Intervention program. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services to young children with disabilities in a school setting. This is a year-round position, and the selected candidate will also be expected to work during the summer session (typically July/August).

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for children with disabilities (ages birth to 3 years old).
    • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to address a child's specific needs in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and participation in age-appropriate activities.
    • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other related service providers to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the child's development.
    • Document progress and outcomes of occupational therapy services.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in early intervention occupational therapy.

    Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
    • Pennsylvania state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
    • Experience working with children aged birth to 3 years old in an early intervention setting is preferred.
    • Strong clinical skills in pediatric occupational therapy.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
