    The NCR Specialist (Non-Conformance) is responsible for ensuring that all products meet drawing requirements and specifications; participates in corrective action, root cause and continuous improvement initiatives.

    A focus on production continuity with proper material requirements is expected. This position requires strong attention to detail with reports and internal communication.


    Achievement of departmental goals to decrease amount of component non-conformances through root cause and corrective action plans, including continuous improvement of quality and processes.

    Continuous efforts to improve efficiency and working methods, sequences of operations, resources and working conditions.

    NCR Specialist

    Your tasks


    • Monitor the non-conformance process and escalate issues that are not resolved in a timely manner
    • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventative action plans with cross functional support
    • Review and, if needed, request supplier inspection certificates and reports
    • Communicate both internally and externally non-conformance status and solutions
    • Lead across departments and suppliers for internal rework and repair concepts and execution
    • Maintain Material Review Board (MRB) information for all projects
    • Review, apply, and write standard operating procedures and work instructions
    • Monitor ongoing non-conformances, and maintain statistics
    • Prepare technical reports by collecting and analyzing information
    • Bring non-conforming material back into compliance with set customer and internal specifications
    • Create and utilize Non-Conformance Reports and Engineering Change Requests
    • Identify, report and recommend solutions for any quality control issues
    • Coordinate activity with all other departments
    • Create 8D and 5 WHY Reports, corrective and preventative actions (CAPA); follow-up as required
    • Maintain supplier relationships to continually ensure compliant product, timely closure of topics
    Your profile


    • Previous experience with SQA or NCR responsibilities; or degree in lieu of experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Experience with managing supplier performance, corrective action and continuous improvement
    • Organizational and problem solving skills
    • Proficient with all MS Office Suite applications and analytic tools
    • ERP systems experience a plus
    • Ability to focus and deliver in a demanding production environment
    • Proficient in the use of inspection and measurement tools
