Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with a half-hour lunch)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Ogden, UT for the school year. This is a full-time, onsite position working with elementary school students who have visual impairments, including those with multiple disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each students needs.
• Prepare and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
• Collaborate with classroom facilitators to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction.
• municate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of visual impairment education.

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Experience working with students with multiple disabilities is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and lead classroom facilitators effectively.
