Join us as a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) where you'll put your expertise to use by maintaining and fixing complex equipment in a safe and professional manner. What you'll be doing:

• Performing safe maintenance and repairs on a variety of intricate rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Participating in the training of junior technicians when necessary
• Keeping thorough electronic and paper records of work completed (work orders) on a daily basis
• Occasionally traveling to customer job sites for the maintenance or repair of rental or customer-owned equipment; also responsible for maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle
• Assisting with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery
• Undertaking other assigned tasks as required

What we're looking for:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record
• 3-5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical skills and proficiency with tools
• A solid mechanical background in various engines
• Ownership of tools relevant to the position
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication abilities (both verbal and written)
• Able to regularly lift items up to 45 lbs.

This role is classified as Safety Sensitive in accordance with United Rentals' policies and procedures.
