    Position Information:

    BreakForth Solutions is seeking a Business Research Analyst with significant experience researching and analyzing the federal government contracting (GovCon) marketplace for professional IT services. The selected candidate will work closely with the VP of Corporate Development (VPCD) and the Growth Team (BD, Capture, Proposal and Marketing/Communications) to provide market research and analysis on federal agency account and target opportunities and industry IT trends.

    Activities will include short & long-term research, market analysis, and forecasting of government spending, competitive positioning, customer needs and requirements. The selected candidate will be able to present findings to Growth Team members and BSi leadership and contribute in advising on strategy for pursuing and winning government contracts. Selected candidate will be able to use readily available tools like GSA eBuy (for MAS and GWAC contracts), , Federal Procurement Database (FPDS); to identify and initially assess BSi capability fit on government opportunities aligned with corporate accounts, targets and capabilities. Candidate will be able to deliver custom market analysis projects focused on market sizing and forecasting for the IT, engineering services and management consulting industries and perform detailed customer analyses and competitive analyses based on primary and secondary research sources.

    The business research analyst should be a subject matter expert (SME) who analyzes raw data from government sources mentioned above and/or subscription services (e.g., GovWin IQ, GovTribe, Capture to Proposal (C2P), etc.) and turns it into actionable insights and recommendations for BSi leadership to consider for opportunity assessment, pursuit/capture and bid and will understand the strategic value of different types of data, including unstructured data and big data. Their expertise in collecting, analyzing and translating data into valuable insights offer businesses a competitive advantage in the marketplace. A research analyst's role is critical to helping organizations reach their business aims, including improved efficiency in expanding BSi's pipeline, enhancing the business development lifecycle (e.g., Gate Review data, information that increases PWin and Growth Team performance).
