    Counselor I Job Description


    We are looking for a skilled Counselor I to contribute to our team providing substance use treatment services. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.



    • Conducts initial intake screenings and assessments to determine individual treatment needs from clients seeking substance use treatment as required per program.

    • Develops and delivers individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, reviewing and revising as client progresses.

    • Provides individual and group counseling, case management services, and creates tailored treatment plans using approved curricula.

    • Maintains accurate and thorough client records, adhering to clinical documentation requirements and regulations.

    • Regularly submits reports on client progress and activities to funding agencies.

    • Monitors clients' well-being and notifies supervisors of any emerging psychological issues that might impact program operations or require further intervention.

    • Ensures timely and accurate completion of electronic record-keeping and client file maintenance as per funding source requirements.



    Requirements



    • Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) License is mandatory.

    • Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field is preferred.
