- Completing and documenting physical assessments before and after treatment and monitoring patients during treatment.
- Providing hemodialysis to patients with kidney disease.
- Responsible for direct patient care in the Grinnell Unit.
- Provide appropriate treatment for assigned patients as developed by the interdisciplinary team.
- Deliver safe and effective care to adult renal patients using critical thinking and collaboration.
- Accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.
- An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions.
- General computer skills are required.
- Minimum of 1 year recent medical/surgical RN experience is required.
- If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable.
- Previous RN Dialysis and IV cannulation experience is desired.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures is desired.

Percent of Time: 90%
Schedule:
Mon, Wed & Fri. 12 hour shifts, 5a -5:30p. Dialysis Unit Manager responsibilities (monthly meetings on Tuesdays)
Salary:
$60,000 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate. Salary will be based on years of experience and percent effort
