Under a collaborative agreement with a physician the Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including performing medical evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, and providing post-operative wound care management.
The Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner will assist the medical team with both inpatient and outpatient procedures and take hospital call.
Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities per TPR policy.
Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities.
Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interpret the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff.
Graduate of an approved and accredited Physician Assistant master's program or Nurse Practitioner program.
DEA registration with the state.
Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of post-cardiology Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner experience in both inpatient and outpatient.
