Job Description

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Full-Time in Armonk, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will represent a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, missing persons reports, and access concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
Monitor access points, help manage visitor flow, and assist with wayfinding while observing for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
Document observations, incidents, and shift activities in written reports, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
