    Position Summary

    A Research Scientist position in available with Dr. Beth Smith, , Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to study the prevalence and longitudinal course of depression, anxiety, and behavior problems in children with cystic fibrosis under 12 years of age. This study will coordinate project sites at 16 sites. The research scientist will work closely with Dr. Smith and the co-Investigators at each of the 16 sites to ensure adherence to the project plan and timeline and will coordinate the day-to-day operations of this project. They will oversee regulatory and administrative activities for the project, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, data use agreements, progress reports, project-related correspondence and databases, literature searches and deliverables (reports, abstracts, and manuscripts). They will be responsible for participant reimbursement across all sites. They will schedule qualitative interviews, upload interviews for transcription, review each transcript to ensure any PHI is removed, and assist the coding team. They will also assist with aspects of data analysis with a biostatistical team.
