    Description

    HCT is looking for an experienced Infection Preventionist (RN) for a role at a 100+ bed hospital in California. Responsibilities include:

    • daily monitoring, identification, reporting, investigation, and control of infections and communicable diseases,
    • hospital-wide surveillance,
    • data collection and reporting.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree.
    • Experience: 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting, knowledge of Infection Prevention in the Operating Room, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software.
    • License: State of California RN license.
    • Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
    • Computer Skills/EMR/EHR: Proficiency in clinical surveillance and related software applications, Microsoft Office suite.

    Expenses covered during assignment include housing, airfare, and rental car.

    Salary Range: $155,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience, education, and location.
