- Teaching Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach courses in the culinary arts program, including baking, pastry arts, and food service management.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
- Faculty Professional Development:
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of culinary arts.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the kitchen and bakery labs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food in the bakery labs.
- Adjunct Faculty General Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
- Report grades and maintain accurate student records.
- Meet classes during scheduled times and for the appropriate length.
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in the culinary industry, including supervisory and fiscal responsibilities.
- Current ServSafe Certificate - Food Manager level.
- American Culinary Federation certification or certifiable.
- Master's degree in culinary arts or related field.
- 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
