Job Opportunity Highlights

We are seeking a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Ellis Psychiatry has been providing specialized mental health services for over 50 years, including programs and services for adults, children, and adolescents.

The adult outpatient clinic is a collaborative and supportive environment that offers integrated primary care, medication management, individual and group therapy, and crisis diversion services.

Position Details:

Evaluate and treat adult patients with various mental health challenges, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis conditions.
Initial intake appointments last up to 90 minutes, with follow-up appointments lasting 30 minutes.
Opportunities exist for providers to offer individual psychotherapy and lead psychotherapy groups.
Position hours: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.
All call is paid extra and typically involves one weeknight (telephone only) every four weeks and one weekend (in-person) every eight weeks.

Requirements:

MD or DO degree
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required
Experience treating an adult psychiatric patient population
Excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing team-oriented care.

Recruitment Package:

A comprehensive salary and compensation package, including a competitive base salary and starting bonus.
A total compensation range of $270,000 to $317,500, which includes productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation.
