Job summary
The person in this position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all aspects of the rail, including frogs, rail ends, turnouts, switch points, and glue joints,- Inspect area after hot work has been performed to detect and extinguish any live sparks or smoldering fires
- Test rail after using the thermite welding procedure to detect voids, lack of fusion, or other defects in the rail
