    Role Description:


    In this role, the intern will closely work with the Advanced Manufacturing team to develop a knowledge map of the investment landscape in advanced manufacturing.

    While the focus will be on additive manufacturing technology, other topics areas such as robotics, sustainability, and industry 4.0 will be explored.


    Learning Objectives:
    Introduction to AM and gain a basic understanding of the impact of these technologies on business.
    Research and develop a summary of market research and business analytics.
    Learn about business analytics and project management platforms/tools.
    Learn about ASTM programs and offerings, the purpose of these programs, and be familiar with the existing products.


    General Responsibilities:
    Landscape analysis (including review of literature, websites, and reports)
    Evaluation and down selection of tools for business analytics
    Develop summary report and present to the project team for feedback


    Education:


    Must be enrolled in a related Bachelor's or Master's degree program as a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited College or University.


    Key Requirements & Competencies:
    Familiarity with one or more of the manufacturing technologies
    Familiarity with business analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc)
    Basic understanding of project management
    Excellent written and communication skills
    Strong interpersonal skills
    Flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback at all levels


    Desired Requirements & Competencies:
    Familiarity with (and preferably experience in) investment communities (e.g. venture capital, private equity, etc)


    Physical Requirements:
    Frequent and close visual work at desk or computer.
    Frequent sitting and working at desk.
    Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other stakeholders by phone or video conferencing.


    Time Requirements & Compensation:
    Remote / Hybrid35 hours per week, May/June through August.

    Compensation:
    $18.00/Hour
