Job OverviewLead the development, review, and refinement of market-leading specialty pharmacy programs for specialty disease states. Lead cross-functional teams that strategize and deliver on ways to demonstrate value and improve outcomes through specialty pharmacy programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, review, and refinement of market-leading specialty pharmacy programs for specialty disease states.
- Develop specialty pharmacy programs that optimize patient outcomes and reduce cost.
- Define reporting metrics and outcomes measures to demonstrate the value of Fairview's specialty pharmacy programs to health plans, large employers, and specialty pharmacy manufacturers.
- Evaluate, analyze, maintain, and refine specialty pharmacy programs upon approval of new specialty medications, additional disease state indications, and changes in standards of care or specialty landscape.
- Lead cross-functional teams that strategize and deliver on ways to demonstrate value and improve outcomes through specialty pharmacy programs.
- Lead, run and manage committees that include the development team, operations, outcomes, and analytics teams to define program processes, assessments, metrics and outcomes, as well as ensure quality and safety.
- Lead cross functional work between development and marketing teams to promote the value of specialty programs.
- Identify, define, and drive outcomes projects to demonstrate the value of specialty pharmacy programs and services.
- Present Fairview Specialty Pharmacy's value proposition through specialty pharmacy programs to key health plans and large employer customers as part of sales and account management initiatives to retain and gain new specialty pharmacy business that is financially critical for the organization.
- Prepare and present specialty clinical program services, results and outcomes, market & therapeutic updates at external client Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Identify opportunities to partner on initiatives to support key health plan and large employer objectives.
- Lead cross functional teams that define and measure the specialty pharmacy outcomes for health plans and employers, as well as identify opportunities to continually refine services to improve outcomes
- Lead cross-functional discussions driving strategies to develop new pharmacy services for upcoming specialty pipeline medications and new areas of utilization for specialty drugs.
- Monitor updates in standards of care to identify new areas for Fairview Specialty Pharmacy to strategically add value for patients, providers, payers and pharma.
- Monitor payer management strategies and pharma growth plans to identify strategic partnership opportunities.
- Lead initiatives to develop content and recommend new pharmacy management strategies.
- Create clinical content, provide expertise and evaluation, and participate in development of new strategic growth initiatives
- Provide expertise for manufacturer and payer Request for Proposals and Request for Information to gain access to new limited distribution medications, employer, and health plan specialty pharmacy business to provide updated specialty pharmacy content for Fairview Specialty Pharmacy presentations geared toward varied audiences.
Required Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. BS Degree in Pharmacy (RPH)
- 7 years of experience in managed care or specialty pharmacy. Managerial experience or experience developing programs across functional groups
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- 10 years of experience in managed care or specialty pharmacy. Managerial experience or experience developing programs across functional groups

Compensation DisclaimerThe posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
