Job summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist with various tasks under the supervision of an occupational therapist. They will identify patients' needs and develop treatment plans to improve strength and mobility.Responsibilities include performing treatments as indicated, assessing patients' responses to treatment and assisting with discharge planning. The COTA will also provide education related to disease processes and prevention strategies for patients and their families.
The position requires strong written communication skills as well as knowledge of physical medicine modalities anatomy physiology rehabilitation equipment operation maintenance decision-making problem-solving team-building skills.
