- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and other backend systems to support the development of our construction tech platform
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend systems with client-side applications
- Implement and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data-driven features and analytics
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries to support high-performance and scalable systems
- Develop and maintain automated tests and monitoring systems to ensure the reliability and stability of our backend systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for software development and deployment
- Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field - 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend systems
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C#)
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and web application development
- Experience with database design and optimization (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/delivery
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus, but not required
