    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionDemco is growing and is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers for our semi-trailer manufacturing facility. Demco provides a competitive compensation & benefits package that takes into account your skills, and expertise. This position will work out of our Spencer, IA facility.


    Primary Duties:


    Design and improve processes of the manufacturing systems with a strong emphasis on quality, productivity, and operating costs by implementing lean concepts and sustaining ISOManage projects to reduce non-value added activitiesResearch and implement new tools and technology, including assisting with the quoting and purchasing processAnalyze manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipmentDesign and create minor jigs and fixturesAdminister and process time studies and line balancingDevelop work instructions and provide training to production personnelImplement continuous improvement/Lean principlesAssist with design for manufacturability for new products using the 7 stages of design processCollaborate closely with the maintenance group to effectuate equipment upgrades and improvementsConfer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processesPrepare charts for representation of statistical dataWork with and support ISO 9001 work instructions and proceduresMaintain accurate records and files RequirementsQualifications/Experience:Equivalent to a two or four year degree preferred with major course work in an engineering curriculum or a related area of study, with at least 2 years of on the job experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the jobExperience with fixtures and robotic welding or fabrication including press brake a plus, but not requiredProject management skills - ability to organize and manage multiple projects through manufacturing processMust be able to effectively present information to clients, customers and employeesMust have strong math skills including geometry and trigonometryExcellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programsExcellent communication skills requiredMust be detail oriented and possess a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement in all areasMust be safety minded and practice shop safetyMust be self motivated to work independentlyBenefitsBenefits Day 1:12 Paid HolidaysBirthday Paid OffPTO AccrualBenefits 1st of the Month After 30 Days:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife and Short Term Disability InsuranceAllstate Supplemental Accident and Critical Illness InsuranceBenefits 1st of the Month After 60 Days:401k Retirement PlanSafety Shoes/Glasses AllowanceDemco is an equal opportunity employer.
