    SR Materials Analyst - Chattanooga, TN / Plant 1

    Role Summary

    The Sr Materials Planner monitors inventories and ensure that raw material resources conform to production schedules. Determining material standards, creating, and monitoring inventory schedules, coordinating with functional teams, and managing interactions with external stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Monitors the scheduling of incoming production material to ensure adequate inventory levels.
    • Reviews weekly release data to include Demand Management, MRP - MAPICS, and Eclipse.
    • Monitors suppliers and commercial carriers to ensure that deliveries scheduled are consistently met and any error rectified on a timely basis.
    • Open/Register the Customer Scheduling Agreement.
    • Monitors and reports receipts, production, scrap, and other inventory-related data on the computer to accurately maintain inventory levels of production material.
    • Coordinate and ensure raw Material Analyst team members meet their duties, supporting as needed.
    • Confers with other departments to coordinate flow of materials and resolve errors.
    • Analyzes cycle count adjustments to ensure accurate inventory accountability and make recommendations to the Materials Manager.
    • Writes procedures as directed for Receiving, Material Flow, etc. Assists in training as required.
    • Check that the Customer demand is integrating well to the system by ZIDOC, ZLCD, ZSPE.
    Knowledge and Education
    • Bachelor's in supply chain or related field preferred.
    • 3+ years' experience in supply chain, materials management, production control, production scheduling and procurement
    • Lean Manufacturing methodologies (Pull system, JIT, SMED, Standardized Work etc.) a plus.
    • ERP and MRP experience required; SAP experience required.
    • Experience working within automotive component stamping, welding, and paint manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with automotive suppliers.
    Key Qualifications/Requirements
    • Exceptional computer skills, particular with Excel and Production and Inventory Control Systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills.
    • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and competing priorities
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
    • Familiarization with MRP/ERP systems (preferably SAP) and scheduling concepts.

    • Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
    • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
