    Job DescriptioncFocus Software is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Cross Domain Solutions program in Reston, VA. This position requires an Active Secret Clearance.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Active Secret Clearance.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
    • DoD Security+CE
    • Proficient knowledge in Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/Cisco ASA FW configuration(s), management, and software upgrades
    • Solid understanding of TCP/IP related protocols, Dynamic Routing Protocols, Switching technologies and features
    • Ability to successfully solve complex network related problems reported by users/clients within a secure environment.
    • Experience with VMWare's vSphere virtualization suite
    • Skilled in system patching and vulnerability remediation
    • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
    • Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
    • Experienced in Linux and Windows systems and how they interact in the compute environment on the network.
    • Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator
    • Experience with Centralized Logging Products (Splunk, etc.).
    • Knowledge of COMSEC and encryption technologies
    • Experience Administering Jira
    • Experience in OWL, forcepoint, radiant mercury, ISSE guard and Cisco
    Duties:
    • Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
    • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
    • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
    • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
    • Apply Standard Characteristics of Labor Category Capability Levels, provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
    • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
    • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
    • Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
    • Apply Standard Characteristics of Labor Category Capability Levels, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
    • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
    • Experience working with unified comms, F5 load balancers
    • Experience with Cross Domain Systems (forcepoint, owl)
    • Experience with palo alto, cisco switches and routers, Linux, and troubleshooting system networks.
