Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Duties
- Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment plans and ensure consistent implementation of interventions.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence and confidence.
- Support teaching strategies that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans aligned with each client's goals.
- Observe client responses during sessions to modify strategies as needed for optimal progress and ensure safety at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for teaching clients and collaborating effectively with team members and families.
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately and maintain meticulous documentation for ongoing assessment.
- Passion for working in behavioral health or special education environments with a commitment to patient care.
