    Mount Indie is looking for a Sr.

    Modeling & Simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a team supporting mission-level combat modeling out of Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.


    As an Modeling & Simulation SME, you will join a team focused on developing a space mission analysis framework and dashboard, including establishing the necessary supporting data pipelines, for the Commander of Space Forces (COMSPACEFOR), Space Operations Command, United States Space Force.

    We're looking for you to bring experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models to solve various problems across multiple domains.

    Experience and familiarity with the space domain is required.


    Responsibilities:


    • Understanding customer requirements, adjusting analytical efforts to meet those requirements, and effectively communicating results
    • Developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models to solve various problems across multiple domains at a SME level
    • Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives

    Required Qualifications:


    • Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Science, Data Science, Operations Research, or a theoretical science/engineering field (Ph.
    D. preferred)


    • 10+ years of DoD experience
    • Active TS/SCI clearance
    • Experience architecting and leading modeling & simulation analyses.
    • Experience employing campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level models.
    • Ability to work closely with and lead a team.
    • Excellent quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data.
    • Proficiency with Python
    • Experience with Excel VBA
    • Experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models
    • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Ph.
    D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Science, Data Science, Operations Research, or a theoretical science/engineering field


    • Experience with a broad spectrum of specialties such as: Applied Statistics, Optimization, Simulation, Decision Analysis, Process Management, Wargaming, and AI/ML.
    • Experience with the Warp Core and/or Envision platforms
    • Experience with NumPy, scikit-learn, keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Pandas, SymPy, SPSS, PSPP, SymPy, SAS, JMP
    • Programming experience with MATLAB, R, SQL
