Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Structural Engineer to join our Mining Team in the Burlington office.
About the role:
Prepare cost effective structural engineering designs from conceptual design to detail design, tender and construction in accordance with Canadian Codes and Standards.
Perform site visits and inspect existing structures. Perform evaluation and analysis of existing structures for modifications and additions, and propose reinforcement solutions.
Prepare specifications, design criteria, scope of work and material take-off.
Complete tasks under minimal supervision ensuring that objectives of cost, quality and time are met.
Supervise the work of designers and other engineers on the project team.
Be able to work directly with drafting staff in order to produce detailed drawing packages.
Liaise with client representatives and general contractors directly
